Abdul Rahman Muakket

Born in Aleppo 1946
studied sculpture as a privately, then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome 1980-1981.
Won three awards in contests of memorial monuments in Syria
Started to sculpt objects and human figures in a realistic style, then moved towards abstraction to produce a sculptural language combining both.
His works are found in the National Museum of Damascus, the Ministry of Culture, the presidential Palace, public squares, in the AL-Sabeel garden in Aleppo, and in private collections.
