Born in Damascus 1900-1973
Studied oil painting at the higher school of fine arts in paris and painting at the Estin school
Worked as an art teacher in the secondary schools of Damascus until retirement
Won the second prize in oil painting in 1950
One of the vavant –garde and earliest Syrian impressionists in landscapes and street scene also one of the first portraitists
Many of his paintings were acquired by private collectors and official public offices including the presidential palace the Arab science Academy the national museum of Damascus and the ministry of culture
