Nasseer Shoura

- Born in Damascus 1920-1992
- Studied oil painting at the faculty of fine arts in cairo, 1943-1947
- Worked as an art teacher in secondary schools in Damascus and later in the faculty of fine arts, Damascus from its founding in 1960 until 1990.
- From 1970 on, he served as deputy dean of the faculty.
- Awarded the Syrian Arab medal of excellence , first degree . he also received many other awards of honor.
- One of the avant – garde impressionist whose primary compositional interest was color. Tuned to abstraction in 1964, but in 1970 went back to realism and worked in a new realistic style.
- His works are found in the national museum of Damascus and the ministry of culture, the presidential palace and in private collections.
