Mamdouh Kashlan

Born in Damascus
Studied art in Italy 1953-1957.
Worked as an art teacher in secondary schools, , and later as an inspector in the Ministry of Education , Damascus until retirement.
Was elected many times as head of the Fine Arts Trade Syndicate
Participated in many exhibitions in Syria and abroad.
His style combines cubist and expressionist tendencies. Tackles popular folkloric subjects.
His works are in the National Museum in Damascus, the Ministry of Culture, the presidential Palace, and in private collections
